- A Committee on membership shall be constituted to be composed of at least three regular members and headed by one Vice-President. The Committee shall have the task of screening potential applicants on the basis of the qualifications contained in the By-Laws and as additionally prescribed in this resolution. The final approval of membership shall remain with the Board of Trustee who must be UNANIMOUS in their acceptance of the new member.
- Membership in the association shall be limited to one member per country unless otherwise approved by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees.
- Original members in the association shall have priority to retain membership. In the event that another publisher in a country wishes to join the association, the existing member shall have the power to object and veto the acceptance for membership.
- Regular Membership shall be limited to official publishers of Yellow Page Directories in a country in the Asia region. The term "official" is defined as a company that is granted the license to publish a Yellow Page Directory by a telecommunications company operating in the Asian region.
- It is the spirit of ADPAI that members remain non-competitive. In the event that a regular member encroaches into the territory of another regular member, without the latter's consent in writing, the aggrieved party may file a resolution with the Board of Trustees for the expulsion of the other member. The vote for expulsion must be made by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees, excluding the two parties concerned, during a regular meeting of the Association.
- The Association covers the Asian region which shall hereafter be defined in the following manner, unless otherwise expanded by a unanimous vote of the Board of Trustees
Geographically, the term Asia covers the land area bordered by the Arctic, Pacific and Indian oceans, and the Mediterranean and Red seas in the West. The coverage
